Quantum Stories
In search of resources for social transformation of the 21st century
Quantum human mechanics experiment
Global context: although environmental awareness is on the rise, paradigm shifts and concrete human actions are not fully there yet.In search of new, impactful tools of copingwith the environmental and socio-cultural challenges, the author comes up with the idea of juxtaposing three seemingly not related fields: human body, art and quantum mechanics (QM).Bridging the macro-scale world of limited humanbehaviours and interactions with the submolecular realityof quantum limitless possibilities catalysed by artistic means of communication aims to experiment with releasing the potential for creating new habits, lifestyles, and social paradigms on the planetary path to sustainable and regenerative future.
Dots connected: 1) One of the entry points for the research lies in the field of embodied cognition theory, assuming that multiple features of human cognition and behaviour are shaped by aspects of an organism's entire body (corporeality), involving the motor system, the perceptual system and the bodily interactions with the environment (situatedness).
2) Adopting the access of art to human corporeality through stirring senses, feelings and imagination, various artistic forms of expression (picture, movement, sound) are chosen to become creators and catalysts for corporeal experiences.
3) QM with its non-linear particle behaviours and simultaneous multiplicity of scenarios is selected to play the role of an alternative source of human and social empowerment for expanding reality when building new habits, lifestyles, social paradigms.
The result of this juxtaposition is the formation
of a new term derived from quantum mechanics (QM):
quantum human mechanics (QHM).

Question: how to experience something new being again
in the same situation?
QM
Superposition is the ability of a quantum system to be in multiple states at the same time until it is measured.
QHM
Superopenness is the ability of a human being to be in the state of multiple behavioural possibilities at the same time until a certain behaviour is consciously chosen to be performed.
Application: forming new behaviours (preparation)

Question: how to access the mechanism of change: unlearn the old pattern and learn doing the same things in a different way?
QM
Quantum tunnelling is a quantum mechanical phenomenon in which an object such as an electron or atom passes through a potential energy barrier that, according to classical mechanics, the object does not have sufficient energy to enter or surmount.
QHM
Human tunnelling is a human body-mind phenomenon in which a human passes consiously, on purpose through (an automated) behaviour body-mind loop that, according to classical human mechanics, human has substantial difficulty / does not have sufficient motivation to pass through.
Application: forming new behaviours (implementation)

Question: how to scale-up individually experienced transformation to a global level of shifting societal paradigms and habits on the planetary path to sustainable and regenerative future?
QM
Quantum entanglement is the phenomenon that occurs when a group of particles are generated, interact, or share spatial proximity in a way that the quantum state of each particle of the group cannot be described independently of the state of the others, including when the particles are separated by a large distance.
QHM
Social entanglement is the phenomenon that occurs when a group of people interact or share the same behaviours in a way that the individual behaviour of each member of the group cannot be performed independently of the state of the others, including when members’ behaviours have totally different reasons to be so.
Application: social paradigm shift
