About

We live in a time of profound shift in how we understand and inhabit the world - one that calls for alternative ways of living and new forms of sense-making. Art Now is a transdisciplinary research lab rooted in artistic practice, addressing today’s planetary challenges through creative inquiry. We cultivate critical reflection and active engagement with shaping post-anthropocentric cultures.

We draw on the multisensory and dialogic capacities of art as a form of experiential and cognitive inquiry. With its own ways of knowing, art can open forms of understanding that reach beyond purely instrumental or disciplinary frameworks. From this perspective, art is not only a means of representing the world from a distance, but a space for generating meaning through sensing, testing and imagination, while holding complexity without reducing it. By bringing attention to what often remains unnoticed, artistic practice can widen perception, open new perspectives and deepen a more systemic understanding of the realities we inhabit.

This work unfolds through collaboration with artists, designers and cultural practitioners, as well as with researchers and thinkers across disciplines. We engage primarily with multipliers

who carry ideas, methods and practices into wider social and cultural contexts — including decision-makers, educators, curators, facilitators, community organizers, practitioners in sustainability, regeneration, and social innovation.

Through art labs, performances and participatory formats, Art Now creates spaces for embodied self-awareness and a deeper connection to oneself. By bringing cognitive, emotional and embodied experience into relation, we shed new light on the gap between knowing and acting - one of the most enduring  challenges of human nature. We also invite reflection on worldviews, habitual patterns and forms of communication, allowing them to evolve in response to the needs of an emerging future.

By cultivating personal, social and ecological capacities, Art Now contributes to restoring reciprocity in how humans relate to one another and to the other-than-human world. Rooted in ecosophy, our approach is groundedin an ethics of interdependence that recognizes the intrinsic value of all living beings. It places relational awareness and responsibility at the center of how we reimagine our place within the web of life on a shared planet.
