Web of Life ⁰¹

Join us for the opening session of Web of Life, a meeting point for artists, scientists, thinkers, and practitioners experimenting with the interplay of human and other-than-human perspectives.

A lightly held online exchange to get to know each other, map ideas, and early sparks on how our shared creativity and passion for life may support societies in cultivating interspecies care and life-centric cultural development. As a brief preparation for the session, we invite you to reflect on the language we use to describe our practices and interests. Some terms you might consider are:


– non-human, 
– more-than-human
, – other-than-human
, – multispecies/interspecies, – life-centric / eco-centric / life-honoring / biophilic, 
– web of life.

What do these terms have in common, and how do they differ? Which of them do you feel comfortable using, which less, and why? Do other terms come to your mind that refine or expand how these relations are described? Your fresh thoughts are very welcome.
