About
Join interdisciplinary artist and environmental scientist Willow Gatewood for the launch of "Plant Music for Tea Parlours", a future-ambient album co-created with plants, fungi, and the more-than-human realm, released in partnership with socio-ecologically motivated Agami Records as part of their Seeds of Light Campaign. Streams fund indigenous food sovereignty and reforestation in the Ecuadorian Amazon through the Yakum Project.
We will be streaming the album on YouTube with a live chat and Q&A with Willow and Agami Records.

About the Album:
"Plant Music for Tea Parlours" is a sound project imagined at the intersections of music, science, and technology. Vocals, spoken word, field recordings, and biosonification (turning processes within organisms into music or sound) blend to form an ambient listening experience that could as easily fade to a soothing background in a tea or coffeehouse as immerse the listener in a provocative sonic ecosystem. The tracks follow the cycle of a day, based on when data was recorded: beginning in an upbeat, familiar place with songs like "Moroccan Mint", gradually morphing to lush dreamscapes of nighttime ecology with "Migration of leaves | nyctinasty".
The live streaming is free of charge. Please RSVP for your attendance.
